Some days I am glad to know I didn’t loose my mind

The other day I got home from the grocery store and went to put away all the stuff. The kids always love helping, which in hindsight should have been my first clue. When we were all done, we finished up our day and went to bed. That night laying in bed, I thought “Gee, I don’t remember putting the bacon in the freezer. Nor do I remember the sausage, huh, strange.” And promptly fell asleep. The next day I checked. Nope. No sausage or bacon in the freezer or fridge. I searched everywhere I could think of and even checked the receipt to assure myself that I really did buy them. Yep, I had bought them. I figured I left them at the store and promptly forgot about it.

Tonight while digging in a rarely used portion of the pantry I came across a package of bacon and sausage. They are in the garbage now. Helpful kids, I tell ya.

  1. LOL!
That’s a shame about the wasted bacon and sausage . . Here I was hoping that the kids were going to suprise you with Breakfast . . . No such luck.
    *sigh*
    Oh well.

  2. Oh, my! Yes, you never know what you’re going to get when you have “helpers!” Sad about the waste, but just think, it will make an awesome object lesson someday when they’re teens…hmm, maybe I can use it?? =)

Thanks for your comment today – I was convicted myself about the dinner thing (I promptly went and marinated my chicken for dinner!). It’s not something you learn once and then move on. It’s a daily, daily choice. Glad you’re on the journey with me!

It is a daily choice! I am so glad that you are there to help guide me.
